The Importance of Dog Show Videos

[GIF] There is typically only one "NATIONAL SHOW" each year for a particular Breed, held by the AKC recognized parent club. People from all over the country bring their top winning dogs to these events. For several years now, our quality and reputation in taping these events, has been well known in the international dog breeding community.

We find it satisfying to be a major participant in the documenting of breed history through one of the most powerful communication tools currently available. These "historical documents" are invaluable "picture pedigrees in motion" of our dogs in the present and our dogs' ancestors in the future. In collecting videos, we can observe past generations of our dogs, compare promising puppies of days gone by to the adults they have become, and follow the progress of the breed into the future.

Quality Standards

COMMITMENT TO QUALITY & CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
We DO NOT record weddings, graduations or any other events, just DOG SHOWS. All persons involved in the production of our videos are BREEDERS and know what is important to a BREEDER. Although we only specialize in video, we can arrange for still-picture photography through our contact with several professional dog show photographers.

At the DOMINO VIDEO COMPANY, we understand that every dog at the show is important to at least one person. We are therefore committed to video-taping the highest quality record for that person and have formulated strict quality control guidelines which begin before we plan to record the show and end with the finished product - the person's own copy of the event. This is achieved through our customer oriented quality standards:

Each breed is researched prior to being recorded. Recording is planned in accordance with a special questionnaire completed by the National Club rating the importance of several physical aspects of the breed. The official breed standard and AKC breed standard video are also reviewed by our staff.

All dogs are recordedequally, in the same manner and with the same amount of care. All dogs and handlers are equal to us as far as merit while in the ring; we are not the judge.

Our videos are narrated including name of dog and other information as printed in the show's catalog.

Any situation which occurs during the taping of the show, which could cause embarrassment to any individual, is edited from distributed copies. Dogs do not misbehave, bite the judge or use the show ring as an ex-pen in our videos.

We remove any accidentally recorded spectator commentary concerning dogs being recorded from the sound track to prevent embarrassing circumstances.

We provide archival videos to clubs engaging us to record their breed, typically within 4 weeks of the event.

Only state of the art, DIGITAL DVCAM broadcast quality video recording equipment is used for acquisition. Most of our profits are re-invested into upgrading our equipment every year.

Our videos come with printed labels in dust-proof plastic library boxes. The year and name of the show is clearly identified on them.

We offer prompt delivery within seven working days of receipt of order and use MEDIA MAIL or AIR MAIL delivery.

Foreign format tapes for use in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia & South America are also available for export in PAL, SECAM, MESECAM, M-PAL, N-PAL, on VHS tapes at additional cost. We also offer Foreign Tape Conversion Services to convert foreign tapes from your friends overseas to play here in the U.S.A. and Canada or your U.S./Canadian tapes to be played abroad.
